For 8 years I volunteered and served on the board of directors for Rapport Youth and Family Services. This article highlights how I raised money for them through my hike up Mt Kilimanjaro.
I served as a member of the fundraising committee for R.A.P.T in Health. The name itself was born of my creativity - meant to display the alternate meaning of 'wrapped' as well, as the event had a scarf theme.
At this event I got to do two things I love: sing and dance. I sang a bachata song in Spanish and English and after the performance I danced to salsa, bachata and zouk music.
This was one of a few performances I have done with this local big band. Amazing to share the stage with so many talented people.
I perform regularly with a band that performs music from the 50's - poodle skirts and bobby sox complete the ensemble.
